Most "make money online" content is from people whose actual income is selling you that content. Filter for what real people are doing.
Tier 1 - Highest probability for normal humans:
1. Service business with modern tooling. Pick a service (video editing, Meta ads, cold email, web design), use modern tools to deliver 3x faster than the freelancer market. $3-10k/month inside 6 months is realistic with effort.
2. Niche newsletter or YouTube. Pick a topic you'd talk about for free, publish weekly for 12 months. Ad revenue + sponsorships kick in around 5,000 engaged subscribers / 10k YouTube subs.
3. Software micro-SaaS. If you can code (or vibe-code), solve one specific painful problem for one specific industry. $500-5k MRR is very achievable.
Tier 2 - Possible but harder: - Selling digital products / courses (only after you have an audience) - Affiliate niche sites (SEO is brutal but not dead)
Avoid in 2026: - Dropshipping (margins are dead) - Crypto trading as "income" - Generic Amazon FBA - Any "done-for-you" passive income system
The pattern: services give you cash fastest, content/products give you leverage long-term. Start with services, reinvest profit into content or product.
