Most guys make asking a girl out weird because they treat it like a confession. It's not. It's an invitation. Low stakes, high confidence.
The script:
"Hey, I'd like to take you out for a drink Thursday. You in?"
That's it. Specific activity. Specific day. Direct ask. No paragraph, no "if you're not busy or whatever," no apologizing for asking.
Why it works: - It's short, no time for you to second-guess yourself in the middle of a paragraph. - "I'd like to take you out" is direct and masculine. Not "would you maybe want to." - A specific day gives her a real yes/no to react to, not an abstract maybe. - "You in?" is light. It doesn't sound like a marriage proposal.
If she says yes: "Cool, I'll text you Thursday at 6 with the spot." Then change the subject. Don't keep selling.
If she says no or "I'm busy": "All good, have a good week." Walk away. Don't propose other days. If she's interested she'll propose one herself.
Most "no" is just "not now." The guys who get a lot of yeses are the ones who ask a lot, don't flinch at no, and don't make it a thing either way.
